For the past year and moving into the foreseeable future, part of my art practise is creating textile narratives that bridge personal and collective histories. I attempt to interpret coastal environments—shores, waters, and seasonal changes—as inspiration and framework, adapting my experience with a wide vareity of textile methods into contemporary works that capture the dialogue between land, sea, and memory.

Vintage linens have always held a strong fascination for me, partly because of the stories hidden within, but also the feel and drape of fabric tha thas been used and washed many time. These pieces use linen that I found in Florence years ago as well as some laces and doilies that have been painted and dyed. I lay out the collage pieces and then stitch over with hand dyed threads.
They are matted and framed under archival glass, measure 14" x 11", with the actual art being 10" x 8". They are $250CDN plus actual shipping costs. Please contact me for futher details.
