For the past year and moving into the foreseeable future, part of my art practise is creating textile narratives that bridge personal and collective histories. I attempt to interpret coastal environments—shores, waters, and seasonal changes—as inspiration and framework, adapting my experience with a wide vareity of textile methods into contemporary works that capture the dialogue between land, sea, and memory.

In April 2026 I spent a month in Galway, Ireland at an art residency. My focus to was to create background (paints, watercolour and marks) onto raw artist canvas as backgrounds for further development once I returned home. Since then, I have spent time working on these with machine stitch, fabric collage and handwork before mounting onto cradled panels.
These are 6" x 6" and are $200CDN each. Please contact me for purchase details.

Ridge Line - acrylic on canvas with machine stitch
My time in Ireland became an unexpected time of growth, changed my approach to fabric and landscapes - cahllenging me to work in new ways with more abstraction and time to observe the seasonal changes with light, texture and pattern evolving into unexpected surfaces. With a purposefully limited colour pallete and few tools, I learned to take time and observe.
These pieces are 8" x 8" on cradled panel. They are $300CDN, contact me for purchase details.

Exploring different sizes and orientations gives me an opportunity play with the horizon line. A higher horizon lets me play with contours of the landscape while a lower horizon gives me time for washes of blue sky.

Vintage linens have always held a strong fascination for me, partly because of the stories hidden within, but also the feel and drape of fabric tha thas been used and washed many time. These pieces use linen that I found in Florence years ago as well as some laces and doilies that have been painted and dyed. I lay out the collage pieces and then stitch over with hand dyed threads.
They are matted and framed under archival glass, measure 14" x 11", with the actual art being 10" x 8". They are $250CDN plus actual shipping costs. Please contact me for futher details.
